Although the best long term treatment for insomnia is cognitive behavioural therapy, there is a role for medication for insomnia.
Sleep disorders are remarkably common and can range in their effect from interfering with physical function through to effecting psychological and emotional wellbeing.
There are a number of common sleep disorders that impact people’s lives such as: snoring and sleep apnoea, insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders and hypersomnias such as narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia.
