Solving sleep problems
At SleepHub, we bring together the science of sleep medicine and individual wellness to help people learn about their sleep needs and disorders. As health professionals specialising in sleep and wellness, our vision is to provide resources, workshops, online programs and to grow a community that shares evidence-based information on sleep and wellness.
We are sleep geeks!
We love to work with clients big or small. In fact we’ve helped individuals, corporations, schools and athletes improve their performance through better sleep.
David brings extensive knowledge and experience in sleep medicine while Kris’ expertise in wellness coaching enables us to develop sleep programs to help people achieve a better quality of life through sleep.
Sleep disorders, such as sleep apnoea, narcolepsy and insomnia, can affect many aspects of our wellbeing. Whether you have sleeping problems or a health issue which impacts on your sleep quality, SleepHub will give you the knowledge, tools and help to get sleep working better for you.
Giving back to the community
We believe in giving back to the community and undertake a range of volunteer activities. Kris is on the Board of Management of disability organisations, school council and was a key disability advocate in planning Disability care. Add to this already impressive role, Kris also coaches junior netball and is currently acting as club secretary for netball and swimming clubs.
David has helped establish sleep clinics in India, training health professionals from around Asia in sleep medicine. He has ongoing involvement in developing the field of sleep medicine both in Australia and throughout Asia.
Our Family – SleepHub’s David & Kris.
We are married with 2 children, one of whom has life threatening illnesses and ongoing physical and intellectual disability. When our son was 6 months old, he was sent home from the hospital with palliative care and we were told not to expect him to live beyond 12 months of age. But, over time, our son’s strength gradually improved.
Over the subsequent years, he has had a number of close calls with life threatening episodes. Despite this, he is a beautiful boy, who brings happiness to those who know him, and really emphasizes the concept of how wellness can improve the quality of life.
Our daughter is an amazing supportive sister who has learnt to roll with the ups and downs of a family household with a child with serious illness and disability. We are both extraordinarily proud of our daughter who is growing into a beautiful and mature young lady.
Our particular family circumstances have reinforced the importance of giving back to our clients and to our community. We can relate to people who are “doing it tough” for a range of reasons, so the advice we give is often from our own experience. We are real, approachable people who have our own challenges, so often we understand yours as well.
